1. Bitmap

• JPG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group where impressive details is being compressed into a fair file size where you can use it as a storage and share your images digitally.
• PNG stands for Portable Network Graphics where it is often used in websites to promote an image that contains a high clear quality such as GIF
• GIF stands for Graphic Interchange Format where it is widely viewed and used on webs in which contains such graphic and logos. It also promotes basic animations where it is popularly used all across the internet especially among making such memes and entertainment out of it. 
• BMP stands for Bitmap Image File in which supports a high quality images to put up independently on devices and doesn't requires any additional graphic tactics and uses to display it. 
• PSD stands for Photoshop Document which is originally used as a file format in Adobe Photoshop that serves image editing purpose where it support various layers and imaging options as well as providing a high quality version of a graphic data. 
• TIFF stands for Tag Image File Formate that is used as a storage to store graphics and image's information
• HEIC stands for High Efficiency Image Container is a file that saves space to store image. It tends to store almost any images depending on their size, resolution, location and more. Furthermore, these files are used for photoshoot, capture the action and creating an animation.  
• PSB is a Adobe Photoshop Large Document that subsidize all the features in Photoshop. It is parallel towards PNG but it store a better and larger image file size. 
• Camera raw is where it helps you import and improve raw images which is a widely used tool among professional photographer. In addition, it is supported in various Adobe programs (especially Photoshop) and camera models.

      2. Vector

• AI stands for Adobe Illustrator, is a file used in Adobe Illustrator used for vector images where one can scale their drawings, design and other uses in Illustrator where there is no loss in resolution while scaling as it is very versatile and complex-graphed. 
• PDF stands for Portable Document Format, it is a very versatile file as one can easily be able to exchange, save, print and present their document when modifying it into pdf as these files can often unable to be supported or used widespread to be viewed or edited by others. Therefore, pdf is great way for a file to be easily supported and used.
• SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphics, this file help create a display of two-dimensional version of illustration, graphics and others for websites. Since it is a vector file, it can significantly used to scale up or down without dealing with any loss when it comes to resolution or quality in the graphics.
• INDD stands for InDesign Document, is a file used in Adobe InDesign where you usually save your work as INDD in which you have all the access to create and format pages in Adobe InDesign as however as you want to design it, from magazine to books.
• EPS stands for Encapsulated PostScript, is file format that is able to promote/support a higher-quality image through posters, advertising and printers. It also retains resolution on the image where it provides bitmap data, coding upon colors and sizing. 
• AIT stands for Adobe Illustrator Template, it is a file used in Adobe Illustrator where it contains a template filled with content, setting, images and layout to draw in Adobe Illustrator.

       

     3. Layout

• IDML stands for InDesign Markup Language where it's a file used in InDesign where it helps open files from older version and allows it to open it in newer version of Adobe program especially in InDesign. It also help create backup on the file.
