- What is the difference between 300ppi and 72ppi?

The difference between 300ppi and 72ppi is that  the pixels in 300ppi images is smaller than the pixels in 72ppi images. Which means higher the pixel per image leads to more details in the image's pixels. Where 300ppi and 72ppi have a difference in resolution in which 300 ppi have a higher resolution than 72 ppi. 300ppi is used for highly detailed printing purposes such as printing a detailed images like photographs.  72ppi is used for web graphics or other digital applications/programs that doesn't mandate such high requirement of resolutions.

- Why is that important for the graphic designer doing print projects?

This is important for the graphic designer doing print projects because so that they can be able to assure an image with a high quality that have a clear and sharp details instead of having a blurry pixelated image. For example, when you try to print it out, the printer will seek to devote more ink into the image to make the image detailed which will create a high quality set of print production of the image. If a graphic design does 72ppi, their image will have a lower resolution where the image will be blurry or have a low quality. This will create a conflict while printing out the image because the printer will be unable to create a accurate amount of details onto the image due to how blurry or low of a quality it is. Therefore, 300ppi is a highly selected quality use for graphic designer to create a high and accurate quality of their image.

- Why is that important for the web designer doing websites?

This is important for the web designer doing websites because it can be able to optimize the website faster and efficiently to upload better. If a web designer does it with 300ppi, it'll slow down the website loading time and take away a significant amount of bandwidth. Since 300ppi contains higher resolution and more pixels. 72ppi helps create the file to make the size small which benefits the loading time of the width and saves a lot of  bandwidth. Therefore, web designer using 72ppi for their websites creates a fair simple image quality and file size in order to create a valuable and efficient website.
