Logo Dev: final by Rafid Khan

Logo Dev: final by Rafid Khan

This is my 25 pencil rough sketch. I obviously drew it by hand however I may have used some references in order to draw these 25 sketches. The first drawing I've made is of course #1. I don't know what came to my mind into drawing like this but I guess it did. I made lucid scripted as a way to represent the laces of a sneaker and I put a "box" on custom because of an inspiration of the Supreme logo. I made Custom classic but Lucid creative because I want it to make it look "Lucid". #2 I use some inspiration in order to make this. As you may see, I used serif in which the reference I used also have serif. The reference I used is Metro Boomin's Heroes And Villain's logo. It turns out to be decent than I've expected which isn't looking bad I guess. #3 I used thick and bolded lines to create the logo, I didn't like how it came out but I did appreciate myself to try and test it out. From #4 to 13, nothing special occurred and I don't feel the unique energy of these logos but once again, I'm glad I was able to test it out. 14, 17/18/19, 21 and 22 is something that turned out to be pretty good in my opinion. I like how I made #14 into a 3d type of logo which turned out to be pretty nice. 17/18/19 is another thing I like because of how it looks very classic but also "cartoony" looking. 21 and 22 is also another thing that I like because of the edges that I was able to create which makes it look flashy as well as making each specific letters looking very outstanding. Overall, the top 5 logos that outstands from the other 20 logos is 1, 3, 14, 17 and 22. However, my favorite out of the 5 have to be #1. It was best the best to  begin with in  my opinion.

This is my 5 electronic sketches. So I had chose 5 logos from my 25 logos pencil sketch and sketched it electronically on Adobe Illustrator. With that 5 logos, I made 5 more logos for each logo I chose from the 5 logos from the 25 logos pencil rough sketch. I first made the first lucid custom logo by making lucid a script font where I made the letters a but close to one another by using the white arrow in order to align it in my view. I also made lucid a cream color, I got the inspiration of using a cream color on Lucid from a Off White Jordan 4 Sails colorway because I find that color pretty clean/epic to use it since I think white color will look bland/dry on using the color for Lucid. Custom, I made it white inside the red box in order to create such inspiration of Supreme. I then made a few versions of it by making Lucid and Custom capital, putting a box on Lucid and make Custom lowercase, making both lucid and custom lowercase. But it didn't interests me of making other version of it. Next I made a serif fonts of Lucid Custom and made the color like a icy blue color which turned out to be pretty flashy which I like about. I made a few version of it but it didn't really turned out good in my opinion. Next I made Lucid Custom and put it inside the box. So I made Lucid Custom a lilac color and made the box dark purple. It turned out nice but it looks girly.  So I made 4 different version of it which turned out pretty good for all of them. As you may see, I guess I mostly used shades of blue colors onto the next 4 version of it. But my favorite out of it is the one where I made Lucid Custom a cream color and put it inside the midnight blue box. Next I designed LC logo which is a short word for Lucid Custom. Honestly I didn't really like it as it looks basic and I haven't thought enough on how to make it look stylish/appealing. Overall, my favorite is the one where I made lucid a cream color and custom white inside the red box and then putting it all inside the black box. The other one that I like is make Lucid Custom a cream color and putting it inside the midnight blue color box.

This is my two selects, I chose two logos from my 5 electronic sketches and made 25 different logos of it. But this time I had to put image, different fonts, colors and other stuff. The first two may have took me some time to design it because of the image in which it took me a while to draw out the shoe. Next couple of logos or so, I just focused on changing the colors and the shapes which it turned out alright but there's some couple of dislikes there such as make the box cream color which I didn't really like and may have kind of ruined the logo looks. Using the cream color wasn't doing a great job which designing these logos in this case. I had realized that this color only works on the fonts but not the shapes. I made a few more logos after this and brought back using image onto my next logos which actually turned to be nice finally. For example, one nice logo I made with the image is making the font and the image a cream color and putting it inside the box. Overall, I think I did a okay job despite having dislikes and making some errors on making the 25 logos. Hence, my favorite out of this the logo I made with the image is making the font and the image a cream color and putting it inside the dark blue box.

This is my final tweaks, I used one of the logos from two selects and made different version of it by using such spacing and different colors. For the first one I made LUCID CUSTOM blue and put it inside the dark red box. I then made sever spacing to the CUSTOM. For the second one, I made LUCID CUSTOM a light gray color inside the black box where I made some minor spacing to LUCID CUSTOM. Third, I made LUCID CUSTOM white inside the light blue box. I somewhat made some spacing to LUCID but may have not change CUSTOM. Fourth I once again use cream color on LUCID CUSTOM inside the black box but I squished LUCID CUSTOM together. Fifth, I made this logo as a inspiration from Sesame Street where I made LUCID CUSTOM white inside the somewhat of a light green box. However, I made the pacing for LUCID CUSTOM very wide. I suppose the next three is very similar towards the first three I've made as I've made minor to somewhat extent of a change to the next three logos. But the last two I tend to make something unique of it. I made one logo where I made LUCID CUSTOM red color inside the blue box but I flipped custom to make it unique. I then made another logo where I made LUCID CUSTOM a purple color inside a black where I flipped LUCID vertically.

FINAL
At the end of the day, out of all the 5 assignments I did to make various logos, the winner is the first logo I made in the 5 electronic logos because it just seems to stand out of all the logos I've made. As a matter of fact, this is the first electronic logo I made and it seems to be the best as the first logo. There were also other logos that were equally as good as the first logo I made however it just doesn't really beats it. Such as the one where I made Lucid Custom a cream color and put it inside the midnight blue box from my 5 electronic sketches. As it just technically beat them all due to it's significant colors as well as it's various significant fonts as a whole. When you make something first and it turns out well, there'll probably be nothing else that'll look good or better than the first one you make. So moving forward, I intend on using this logo to the next level where I can further use into my next assignment or the obstacles I'll be facing with this winner logo and make a success out of it eventually.
